Hello Everyone - welcome to Old Boyneside where we're enjoying beautiful winter weather - quite cold nights, but mostly nice warm days.
District summer crops of peanuts, beans and sorghum have been harvested, whilst the sunflower and corn crops are waiting to dry out further before harvest. Farmers are once again being crucified by bird attack on these crops, particularly sunflower. There are swarms of cockatoos, cockatiels, corellas, lorrikeets, and other parrots enjoying the smorgasbord, so if you've ever wanted to get up close and personal with any of these, now's your chance!
Our 2010 calendar is still available - if you'd like one, just send us an email with your mailing address.
Here's a quote from the visitors’ book ... "The dogs were amazing and your guidance on what to do, where to go and what to see kept us entertained and relaxed ... and then there was the food - five star country cooking!" (Kessel family, Florida, USA).
Hope all's well at your place - cheers from us - Peter and Moira
